About Us
Surface Art, established in 2001, is a family-owned distributorship specializing in tile and tile-related products. Operating from our state-of-the-art 200,000 square foot facility, we stock over 5,000 products, serving customers across the 15 Western United States.
Our design showroom showcases a wide range of large format tiles, including sizes from 36×36 to 24×48, featuring over 300 grouted panels capturing various styles from wall tiles to glass. Additionally, we offer 54 large panels of grouted tiles, allowing customers to envision their desired look in their own space.
To meet demand, we import materials from multiple countries, resulting in a complex supply chain process. On average, we bring in approximately 300,000 square feet of material per week, ensuring we have a consistent stock available. Our in-house merchandising team assembles about 45,000 sample boards annually, which are utilized by our diverse customer base ranging from retail stores to designers, developers, and architects. These sample boards aid in their product selection process for different projects. Once the sample board is ready, our warehouse and operations fulfillment team ensures prompt and accurate delivery. We take pride in our 98.6 quality rating, which encompasses on-time delivery, breakage prevention, and accuracy. Achieving this rating is a result of our technology-driven approach and double quality control process.

Unlike factories producing large quantities of tile, we have the advantage of stocking specific quantities, ranging from 40 to 300 square feet, ready for immediate use.
